Department of Public Health Dentistry

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, RCDS & RC works with the motto of “Serving People Serving Humanity”, thereby conducting regular free oral health check-up, treatment and educational camps for all with focus on underprivileged ones.

In terms of patient care, it has an extensive outreach program where dental care is delivered to the surrounding areas through conduction of frequent camps at various Villages, Schools, Colleges, Industries, Slums, Blind Schools, Old Age Homes, Orphanages etc. The Department conducts around 150 screening and treatment dental camps annually.

Public Health Dentistry Department has covered more than 100 villages in the vicinity of the college and got the adoption certificate from Panchayat Heads of 28 villages. The Department has 4 satellite clinics to cover the population nearby.

The Department has a dental health education museum, where OPD patients are educated on a routine basis. It is also involved in training of undergraduate students in the theoretical and practical aspects of Dental Public Health, as well as, in oral health research.
